For Brightmoor.

a Community Educational Institution

Community

Situated in Northwest Detroit, Brightmoor is home to 12 neighborhoods, nearly 1 in 3 residents under 25 — and just 3 schools.

Building

Burt Elementary is a historic Gothic Revival-style building built in 1925 that sits on 3.4 acres as a neighborhood anchor that has served Brightmoor residents for generations.

Initiative

We are dedicated to the conviction that a fully educated person is academically literate, physically capable, economically sovereign, nutritionally self-sufficient, and equipped to build, defend, and sustain the life and community they deserve.

This is what a complete education looks like

Twelve programs. One complete education. Each addressing distinct but interconnected dimensions of whole-person education.

Who We Are

Built by Detroit natives who are deeply rooted to the Brightmoor area, Ring Shout Foundation is not an outside organization bringing services to Brightmoor. It is a homecoming.
